This product combines finest Suisse-made batiste and first-class downs. The downs used are so-called sticky downs. The name goes back to the dense fill of the down feathers. But there is more to than sticky downs than their excellent lofting characteristics to guarantee their high quality.
The laundered raw material is sorted into eight compartments instead of the usual four compartments during the grading process. Because of this, compartments seven and eight hold only the fluffiest and therefore best downs. This quality is then further improved by handpicking.
The ideal fill of the down and the special grading process make it possible to classify sticky downs as “similar to Eider down”. In contrast to Eider down however, sticky down is a washed good – a fact that makes it absolutely hygienically safe.
In contrast to Eider downs, the sticky downs are also a white product but considerably less expensive.
